Excessive Shyness (Fear of Making Mistakes)

Excessive shyness is marked by the need to be perfect in other people’s eyes and the fear of making mistakes in front of them. This problem, which usually starts around middle-school, is like having stage fright 24 hours a day.  The fear of judgment and rejection is so uncomfortable that these people avoid social 文字方塊: situations, have serious interpersonal problems and often have psychosomatic illnesses, including stomach problems, loose bowels, dizziness, breathing problems and lumps in the throat.  They often feel people find them boring, stupid of ugly.  They seem to be so plagued with excessive worry about what people are thinking and nervousness about making mistakes that they would just like to disappear in social situations.  In fact, sometime they even feel they are disappearing when they meet people.

James Steed helps people with excessive shyness and fear of making mistakes 1) develop a sense of self, 2) undo perfectionistic ideas, 3) calm down, 4) develop social skills and 5) become more assertive. They become confident and adventurous and begin to feel more comfortable and relaxed around people.
