Excessive, Uncontrolled Anger

Anger is like a wild horse.  Try to ride it and you will find yourself eating dust.  You will probably break something you would prefer to remain whole (like a relationship).  Get back on the horse and it will throw you again.  You can keep trying, or you can get smart and have someone show you how to tame the animal.  Once you learned to tame a wild horse, you will discover a magical relationship between you and the horse.  The animal you tamed will become a good friend.

How is anger like a wild horse?  First, if left untamed, anger can be very destructive.  Second, most people with an anger problem don’t know how to control it and use its power.  Third, you can be taught to “tame” your anger, and when you do, it too will become a useful tool and a friend.

James Steed begins by developing a good relationship with you and understanding different things that have taken place in your live that helps magnify 文字方塊: your anger.  I then use stories to help you understand your anger and encourage on your journey toward health.  We soon learn strategies to recognize and control your anger and then you learn how to use the energy of anger to solve the problems that cause anger.

“We don’t want to make anger disappear; we want to make it useful.”
