Brief Introduction of James Steed

James F. Steed holds a B.A. in Art with minors in Education and Chinese, a masters degree in Linguistics, and the highest obtainable degree of certification in Hypnosis. Has received personal training from some of the world’s greatest masters in hypnosis, NLP®, and Time-Line Therapy®. His teachers include Dr. Richard Bandler, co-founder of Neuro-linguistic Programming, Tolly Burkan, the father of the American Firewalking Movement and teacher of Anthony Robbins, and Dr. Stephen Gilligan, Ph. D. Psychology and Ericksonian Hypnotherapist. His research closely follows the work Milton Erickson, Virginia Satir and Michael Yapko.

For the past 25 years Mr. Steed has traveled between the United States and Taiwan and has taught at many of America’s and Taiwan’s most respected institutions of higher education. In addition, he, himself has established and directed three private schools and served as consultant to many well-known corporations, including Sun Moon Star, China Petroleum, and OSC. He has published over 14 books and professional articles and his work, itself, has been the subject of medical research. He speaks publicly on education, self-improvement and emotional well-being.

His range of interest and research is very broad and covers linguistics, psychology, metaphysics, hypnosis, NLP®, past life regression, life changes through the use of metaphors, shamanism, persuasion and sales.

He has produced hypnosis tapes in Mandarin and Taiwanese. At first he had native Mandarin speakers record his tapes, but then it was found that although he had a noticeable foreign accent, the power and freedom found in his hypnotic voice brought about more significant change in the listeners. So, now he records his own tapes in Chinese.

With years and years experience with hypnosis, James Steed has helped hundreds of people change their lives. One time a client asked him, “When are you going to hypnotize me?” Mr. Steed said, “I’ve already hypnotized you around 12 times,” and smiled.

Humorous, upright and honest, romantic and enthusiastic, compassionate, as active and cute as a child, considerate but forceful, profoundly knowledgeable with a great variety of surprising styles, techniques and energies, and at times easy, at times very intense.
